Steve Jobs in his obligatory black attire has launched a new range of Apple products including a new iPod Nano.
The new Nano has dimensions of only 37.5mm high, 40.9mm wide and 8.78mm thick. It also weighs in at just 21.1 grams or 0.74 ounces if you want to eat it!
Its available in 8GB or 16GB and comes in a range of colours I like to call boring Silver, boring-er Charcoal, Too bright Blue, MetroHomoHeterosexual Pink, British racing Green, and Mustard Orange clearly visible from the planet Neptune.

Eminem’s latest album “Recovery” is his 7th album and contains 17 tracks with a minimum of 170 expletives per track… (20 tracks on Deluxe Edition).
Definitely worthy of a listen if you enjoy profanity laced lyrics and can cope with a litany of homophobic and derogatory commentary cleverly mastered through slick rhymes.
Eminem’s time off between albums hasn’t caused any softness, quite the contrary. Recovery is well placed to maintain the top download position on iTunes and create a new cult of followers given his well earned reputation on the rap scene. Eminem is the best-selling artist of the decade, and has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide to date, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world (see MTV).
Some of the best tracks on Recover worthy of mention include the following:
- “Going Through Changes” a melodic and dark collection of thoughts laid over a strong acoustic guitar reminiscent of a Black Sabbath classic.
- “Not Afraid” an epic track set to a wave of syncopated rhythms and lyrics inspiring vision.
- “No Love” a track using a series Haddaway “What is love (Don’t hurt me no more)” backing vocals cleverly mixed with the appearance of Lil Wayne (recorded pre-incarceration I suspect!).
- “Space Bound” resembling a beatles cover tune with high boy-band chorus vocals. Definitely a song that infects your headspace like a Robbie Williams classic.
- “Cinderella Man” dirty acoustic vocals with only a drum beat and the occasional tuneful repetition of the tracks title.
- “25 to Life” initially sounding like a Dido ballad (light and easy) what this song misses in initial veracity its lyrics more than make up for its smooth start and end.
- “So Bad” original sounding “Slim Shady” track with a range of trumpets and wind instruments keeping the beat tight and lyrics engaging enough to take the listener on a journey well worth the 5min25secs.
- “Love The Way It Hurts” a country ballad sounding like a cross between Uncle Kracker and Rihanna meets Enrique on methadone. Definitely a break-up song that questions the fact that even hard core rappers get upset occasionally when their hoe leaves. (This is possibly one of the best arranged tracks on this album!)
- “Untitled” the final track on the album saves the best rap for last and despite its brevity is fully loaded with lyrics and squeezed into 3min14secs that seems to indicate there is more to come.. perhaps a follow up album to Relapse and Recovery called Ritalin?
