It’s not often that an obligatory television commercial catches your attention, especially for a KIA SUV from Sth Korea.
Generally there is an plethora of Holden, Ford, Toyota commercials that viewers simply tune out from and wait for their beloved show to return to the tube; however the latest commercial from KIA caught my attention.

Most advertising executives seem to get it wrong when pitching a commercial to their audience however KIA has got it right with an average looking family and a catchy old skool phat (yes ‘Ph’ fat!) beat from Grandmaster Melle Mel and Scorpio.

Currently there are 131,000 results on line for the Google search “KIA sportage television commercial music” so it’s certainly seems they are choosing the right music for their commercials and with a clever mix of comedy, satire and stereotype casting they have pulled off an advert that I actually wanted to watch.
Well done KIA… and I hope to win your Sportage SUV and film myself singing “The Message” like Grandmaster Melle Mel and Scorpio!
